2024 – Last Years Exhibition

Our Annual Exhibition 2024 was a great success this year, the hall, which was decorated with bunting in the club colours, was opened at 10 am sharp by Tom Rutland our local Member of Parliament. We had 220 Framed and 132 Unframed pictures entered by more than 25 club artists and in addition six tables of Greetings Cards. The exhibition hall was busy for most of the two days, with demonstrations of “Children’s Illustrations” by club members Elizabeth Williams on Saturday and “Painting with Acrylics” by Wayne Doige on Sunday.

During the day we had three or four Stewards moving around the Hall, helping visitors with answers to their questions about the art on display and information about potential membership of the Club.

Visitors had the opportunity to cast a vote for their favourite picture, which this year was won by Paula Hickling, second place, just a few votes behind, going to Wayne Doige.

There was a steady stream of visitors on Saturday and Sunday with great interest in our art work and potentially five or six new members for the club.

You can see some pictures of the day below.
